Dina: I
think it was intense, I don't think it was super intense, I wasn't you know,
wiped out after every day, it certainly leaves less room for you to just wander
off on your own...sorry that is bad...but...it had a lot of, it was intense but
there was flexibility but it was still structured, it was a good combination I
felt.

Tanjila: After
the first shoot day, it was very exciting because Cordoba is a beautiful city.
We had a very hectic day, so it was very tiring, exciting, but very
interesting. I had been to Spain before and that was my first time in
Andalusia. It is just amazing to see the architecture coming together and the
definite Islamic and Moorish influence in the city. Also listening to the
different comments made by Dina and Nezar and Michael, and seeing how much I
was learning from what they were saying as well as from what our guides were
saying, so I was very excited.

Brie: Impressions
after the first day of the shoot, I thought, wow, I am in Tulsa, I never
thought I would be in Tulsa, Oklahoma. That was fantastic. It was quaint, I
really enjoyed it. It was nice too. It was a little bit hard to negotiate who
was going to do what and what our roles were. We were kind of all trying to
figure out what we were supposed to do and why we were all there so it was a
little like a bunch of people in the dark, trying to figure out what we were
going to do. The shoot schedule was intense but as any graduate student will
tell you, we do tons of jobs, so it is not too difficult to manage a bunch of
things.

Joseph: My
first shoot day was in Tulsa, Oklahoma, right? The first shoot day was a little
tiring but looking back it was probably one of the most interesting. Meeting
Mohammad was probably one thing that sticks out in my mind as being, I don't
know, shocking. But it was a big step for me and did a lot for the way I feel
about Muslims and a Muslim my age and so it was...I thought the first day was
probably one of the best and most interesting days.

Daniel: I
was exhausted, you know traveling out to the Middle East from Los Angeles is no
easy trek. It was a long flight and it didn't end in Tel Aviv, we transferred
airports in Tel Aviv to fly down to Eilat, so it was a very long day and it was
very hot. But it was very much rewarding and I knew I was going to be in for a
challenge and I welcomed the challenge and that is why I signed up for the
project and I had no regrets.

Zachariah:
It was a bit overwhelming in some ways because we landed and we were
immediately launched into a number of different activities. But landing in the
Middle East, it is an overwhelming experience in many ways because it is so
beautiful at one end and at the same time it is also very tense. You feel those
competing impulses and you want to appreciate it for its beauty but you know of
the underlying tension that exists at the same time.
